Your home is probably your biggest investment. You want to keep the property value as high as possible. While some of these ordinances seem to be unimportant they all add up to keeping our neighborhood as nice as possible. When someone is not in compliance with these ordinances they are sent a friendly reminder. It is our hope that the reminder will be enough and that other more severe penalties will not be needed.
This is a partial list of some of the most common problems people may face regarding city and neighborhood code violations. For a complete list visit San Antonio Code of Ordinances
PETS
All pets, cats, dogs and all others, must be kept on a lease when in the front yard or street. Please do not let your pets run loose. No one wants their landscaping damaged or wants to clean up after someone else’s pet.The City of San Antonio ordinances require that dogs and cats be licensed annually, that they be current on their annual rabies vaccination, and that they not be allowed to roam free. The City’s animal Control Facility will pick up roaming animals and take them to their holding pens at 210 Tuleta (behind the zoo in Brackenridge Park). With few exceptions, animals without identification are generally held for two full working days after pickup, and then euthanized. If your pet is missing, or if you have problem with animals in your area, call the Animal Control facility at 207-6650. For a missing animal, you will actually have to visit the facility and try to spot yours, but a telephone call will give you their hours of operation.
To file a complaint for code compliance either call 311 or go to the San Antonio Code Compliance website.

Please put all recyclable material in the green bin provided to you by the solid Waste Division of the City of San Antonio.
